A very blustery winter day didn’t stop volunteer firefighters and chiefs from 18 communities from gathering in the newly renovated Dundurn Fire Hall for a well-received day of training. Chief Ryan Bradley had only been in the post for a few weeks, but he was excited for the opportunity to host speakers from SaskEnergy, STARS, the Saskatchewan Volunteer Fire Fighters Association (SVFFA) and the province’s Emergency Management & Fire Safety (EMFS). It was a valuable chance for volunteers to learn and refresh their knowledge so they are equipped in the event of an emergency.
