President Randy Bertsch was recognized for his community leadership through our employee Lead Well program. As a result Randy presented a $500 SimpleGenerosity donation to Jane Sterk, Executive Director of Cowichan Women Against Violence Society. The Society provides many programs and services to women and children who have been affected by abuse. They support diversity, change, choice and growth through counselling, advocacy, emergency shelter, community development and education. Island Savings has been proud to support the organization over the years through a number of initiatives including their Annual AGM and community BBQ and staff member Brooklyn Mann currently serves as Vice Chair on their Board of Directors.
