I founded ToastyToes Waterloo Region in 2013 in memory of my Mom who always had cold feet and loved gifting fuzzy socks. The collection was to celebrate what would have been her 80th birthday (she passed away in 2011). I set out with the hope of collecting 80 pairs of socks, I collected 492. In 2015 we passed 1,000 pairs. Last year we passed 12,000 pairs. #ToastyToes2017 has already brought in over 4,600 pairs of socks so far from a handful of organizations. We are fortunate to have over 80 organizations collecting this year and the campaign runs until November 10 so there is still time to donate.

Socks benefit House of Friendship , @marillacplace, @ONEroof, @sanguenoutreach, @cambridgeshelter, @cambridgeselfhelpfoodbank, @workingcentre, @kaljashomes, @wilmotfamilyresourcecentre, @ywkitchener and @oneKCI community outreach dinner.

Community donation in Waterloo Region can be dropped at any branch of the @YMCA or at @LibroKW branch.
