Thank you to Audra Leslie for her efforts in coordinating the recent Paint Nite fundraiser at the Cowichan Valley Inn. The sold out event helped to raise $600 for Island Savings a division of First West Credit Union's signature cause The Full Cupboard which raises food, funds and awareness for our island food banks. The money will go to the Cowichan Valley Basket Society and will help to generate more than 1,800 meals for those in need. Having never been to a Paint Nite before I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It was a great opportunity to have some fun (and a drink) with co-workers and get creative with the paints. Our instructor Ty the Paint Guy was very engaging and made the lesson a lot of fun. It was so cool to see everyone’s final moonlit tree masterpiece, all unique and special in their own way. If you have been on the fence about going to one of these events I would highly recommend it. They are also a great fundraising idea for your favourite charity. Thank you to you everyone that came out to support this Full Cupboard fun-raising event!
