Game On Group Facilitator

Provide information and support around a variety of healthy lifestyle practices.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cowichan Valley is looking for volunteers to support our new program Game On. Game On is a group mentoring program providing boys (ages 11-14yrs) with information and support to make informed choices about a range of healthy lifestyle practices. Through non-traditional physical activities, complemented with healthy eating support, participants engage in life skills, communication, and emotional health discussions designed to engage participants in the pursuits of life-long healthy lifestyles.
Game On is a 8 week program where volunteers (mentors) facilitate program curriculum each week for 2 hours in one of our partnership schools. Session dates and times are based on volunteer availability. Mentors require flexibility to volunteer during business/school hours.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cowichan Valley provides all training and support for the duration of the group. No experience required.
Game On is lead by Male facilitators. Go Girls is available for female volunteers. For more information visit www.bbbscowichan.ca or call 250-748-2447.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
