The Full Cupboard is looking for dynamic champions to lead their branch and department team members to raise food, funds and awareness so that no Island child goes hungry in our communities. The Full Cupboard is Island Savings’ signature cause program. All food and funds raised are donated to the local food bank in the community where it's collected. For many years we've been building a bubble around at-risk kids through our GIFT program. The launch of The Full Cupboard takes our community investment a step further. We're extending our support to local food banks to ensure islanders needing some extra, immediate help have access to food resources. We are setting ourselves a 3 year goal to raise funds to serve the equivalent of 650,000 meals! That is the equivalent of approximately $73,000 fundraised annually.

This unique volunteer position provides Champions with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, explore their creative calling and build exciting relationships with business and nonprofit agencies in your own community. You’ll be supported by Community Investment and your colleagues throughout Island Savings. Full Cupboard Champions will

• Be the go-to person for The Full Cupboard program and donations at your location

• Work with team members to design and develop plans to raise awareness about The Full Cupboard

• Identify opportunities for branch involvement in the community that can support The Full Cupboard

• Develop and activate fundraising activities

• Monitor and administer expenses for your location’s Full Cupboard budget

• Track each event and its results on Full Cupboard documents

• Coordinate biannual cheque presentations to your local food bank

• Celebrate by sharing photos, event highlights and results on the Star Wall/Volinspire

• Develop supportive relationships and networks with nonprofits & businesses

• Develop personal skills in the areas of fundraising and event planning
